Herewith we beg to forward you small block plans

of the proposed site for a Church at Kowloon.

The larger scale plan shows the site with the

adjoining roads, houses, fc., while the smaller block plan shows its

position in relation to Kowloon Peninsula generally.

We would point out, that the hill on which the

Observatory stands is the highest point of this portion of the Feninsu

-la being about 110 feet above the sea and is a fine commanding site

which can be seen from the whole harbour and surrounding country. It

is also very central being close to the junction of the Robinson and

Austin Roads which may be said to be the very centre of the Peninsula

and equally convenient for the Naval, Military and Civilian population

and it would also adjoin the new Schools.

The Church site would be about 40 feet below

the Observatory and about 30 feet above the Robinson Road. The ground

slopes upwards from the Robinson Road to the Observatory which is on

the summit of the hill. The site is thickly covered with fir trees,

which trees would form a fine belt of green round the Church.

The position of the site as regards the points

of the compass is exactly right being due East and West with the

main entrance at the West end.

The approach would be from the Robinson Road up

the circular pathways .indicated on the plan.

The site while being admirably suited for a

Church
